Betrayed - A House Of Night Novel - Book 2
1. One of the many conflicts in the book is between the main character Zoey Redbird and her mother and stepdad. Since Zoey became a vampire, she's been leaving in the House of night with other young vampires and for the first time since she moved there it's time for a parent visit. Zoeys mother and stepdad is both christians and they treat Zoey like a monster when they meet, they say that the vampires way to live is sinful and wrong. It's the stepdad who starts the fight , her mother is just standing quietly back of her husband. Zoeys stepdad start screaming at her, he says she's a creature of the dark and after a while Zoeys teacher Neferet comes to help her. Neferet says that if the don't respect their way of life and their faith, they could go home now. She says that the vampires dón't make fun of Christianity and therefore they can show some respect for them. The conflict ends with that her stepdad decides He says they do not want to mix with vampires and then he walk to the door and zoeys mother follow and that's the last time in this book she meets them.
2. - Zoey, I can't belive what you've gotten yourself into now.
This is the last thing her mother says before she leave. She's angry becouse she think her daughter have become a monster who lives in the dark.
- Heath, there's no point, there can't be anything between you and me.
When Zoeys ex boyfriend comes to her school to ask why she dosen't anwser his calls and messages Zoey anwser this. She can't have a human bofriend when she's a vampire and only want to drink his blood, witch is totaly forbidden. I think here is the first time Heath starts to understand it's not going to be them anymore. It's terrible to se how sad he gets even tho hes drunk. They have been together for a long time and he really miss her, but Zoey has to say no here.
- Ohmygod! Stevie Rae has an affinity for earth!
Here's when Zoeys best friend derive the power of earth for first time, the room smells like flowers and threes and Zoey says this sentence whith joy. Many chapters before you started to feel something around Stevie Rae was wrong, at first you thought that she dosen't gonna complete her transformation into a vampire and die. So when i read this i where happy for a while becouse i really like the character Stevie Rae.
- Would, you tell my mamma and daddy that i love them?
This is where you understand Stevie Rae is going to die, it's exactly after that she get her power from earth and thats why it really came as a shock. This is one of the last things she say before her heart stop beating. It's really a big part of the book becouse its zoeys best friend who dies.
- A ghost? Her laugh was sneer. No i ain't no damn ghost.
This sentence is from the end of the book and it's exacly when Zoey gets to know that Stevie Rae isn't really dead she got life again but she's not really a vampire she's a newborned red vampire and she's really evil now but Zoey thought she can make her good again. This part of The book is a bit of strange becouse you have exacly accepted that she's dead.
3. I don't think there is any really message of The book it's most about teeange problems and normal things. I think The book is most a
Entertainment, One thing in The book that could be The message is maybe to Belive in yourselfe. Becouse Zoey don't really Belive in herselfe but she's The most powerful Young vampire on The school she have big marks who show how powerful she is and as time goes on in The book she belive more and more in hereself and thats what you have to do build it upp you can't do it on One day but slowly slowly you can start Belive in yourselfe. Another message of The book could be that you should be tankfull for The people you have around you becouse you never know what happends in The future, people can die or even get sick today.
